Sorry, but that's the torture anyway ...
Blood? We'll see.
I really have had some dramas that will soon go away, presumably ...
Love JuneJune Savillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00194576632686640776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2106506707783681962.post-64491543333105368152008-12-18T09:24:00.000+10:002008-12-18T09:24:00.000+10:00Yes. Or perhaps you are?

It's nice that you like Wimpole. There are two sides to all of us ... I wonder how deeply we'd need to dig to find Robson's nice side?

Murder! Could we stand the blood?

You are probably right - Pip was remiss not warning Mrs. Rouse. But then that may have ruined the story - who knows?June Savillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00194576632686640776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2106506707783681962.post-76619777839014754992008-12-16T05:51:00.000+10:002008-12-16T05:51:00.000+10:00Hi June,I'm so enjoying this. But I'm caught up now ..and find myself still absolutely addicted to Pip's plight and adventure.

What's interesting is that you've actually made us 'like George Wimpole.' Regardless of being part of the gang rape party- he's a good guy ! So far, I find myself wishing the old queen was her Dad. Just not Robson- Please.. June! He's just to evil.

With Robson running her off the road and then vandalizing her car- I smell murder.

And shouldn't Pip make mention of Robson's criminal background to the Rouse family? Haven't they had enough misery? While she's blurting out her mother's story- why didn't also say, "Hey -heard you've been in prison for scamming old women out of their fortunes, you low life scum-bucket."
Anyway great fun.
VikkiVikki Northhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00843590983216729306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2106506707783681962.post-38396828353976540002008-12-15T14:29:00.000+10:002008-12-15T14:29:00.000+10:00CHERYL (I Ponder)You won't be satisfied until you ...CHERYL (I Ponder)
You won't be satisfied until you kill everyone off will you? They look like heaps of junk to us now but they were able to perform amazing feats for the time.

I will never forget the first time I saw a linotype working. They are actually much more intricate that you could see on the video.

They are an amazing mass of moving rattling parts, all fed by an operator sitting at a keyboard who must constantly move around as well to feed and generally tend the monster.

There is heat too - for the machine warms the metal and holds it at a temperature to mould the slugs that fit into the formes or frames that provide an impression for the printing.

The link I left in the sidebar to the restoration of the Burleson linotype is well worth a look. Good experience however. Fun looking back ...

I felt that Pip would have been fascinated by all of this early technology, and so believed it would be relevant for her to give us a look around.
Another player eh?June Savillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00194576632686640776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2106506707783681962.post-25871825911635553362008-12-14T07:29:00.000+10:002008-12-14T07:29:00.000+10:00BAI Thanks for visiting from the Philippines.
